Classic Days Out On Scottish Mountains

This page is a list of recommended routes on various Scottish Mountains. The hills we have chosen are generally amongst the best in the country, although there are lots of hills that are not here that perhaps could have been here. The choices have been swayed by our photographic resources, which are quite extensive, and I have been lucky enough to have caught most of these hills in good weather. That is not to say we are fair weathered climbers and walkers, far from it, indeed we are out all year round in all weathers. However my camera generally stays wrapped up when the weather is foul (As do I).

All the hills listed have a separate page with information, a recommended route, sketch map and pictures. Some of the pictures are hidden and accessed by clicking the highlighted text. I have tried to make the text and pictures fit together so that what is written - is what you see - if you catch my drift, a new style of virtual hill climbing. The route described will generally include adjacent hills, in the vicinity. Most of these routes are good rounds, generally starting and finishing in the same place. I have also avoided describing going up and down the same way (Apart from the Inn Pinn) and have descriptions for traverses of ridges. I feel that this is the best way to explore the mountains, and despite my own summit bagging tendencies feel that there is more to a day in the hills than just ticking off summits. So enjoy yourself out there and if you see us say hi !! Our rucksacks have sewn on badges that give the game away as to who we are.
